The Khadar: Khadar is narrow flood prone are ranging 2 to 4 miles in width and formed by the river Yamuna along its course. Farmers grow mainly, rice, wheat, sugarcane, vegetable and flower crops however, now they have started planting banana, papaya and other fruit trees too in this area.
The upland plain: This region consists of Sonipat tehsil (lying to the West of Khadar) and is the most extensively cultivated highly productive with good irrigation facilities.
