Preview- "Krishi Vigyan Kendra Rajouri was established on November, 13th 2002 vide F. no: 5-10199-AE-II.
The main aim of KVK is to reduce time lag between generation of technology at the research institution and its transfer to the farmers for increasing productivity and income from the agriculture and allied sectors on a sustainable basis.
In order to achieve this goal the following four mandates have been envisaged in the design of the Krishi Vigyan Kendra:
• To conduct “On–farm testing” for identifying technologies in terms of location specific sustainable land use system.
• To organize trainings to update the extension personnel with emerging advances in agricultural research on regular bases.
• To organize short and long term vocational training courses in agriculture and allied vocations for the farmers and rural youths with emphasis on “learning by doing” for higher production on farms and generating self employment and
• To organize front-line demonstrations on various crops to generate production data and feed back information."
