Preview KVK's – "Indian council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) sanctioned for the establishment of Krishi Vigyan Kendra on 31 August 2011 at Palem, Mahbubnagar district , AP on 53.14 acre land (with survey No. 54, 55, 56, 230, 231, 239, 240, 241,244,245, 246 & 249 summing upto 33.22 acres and survey No. 58, 59 & 60 summing upto 19.92 acres) at Agricultural polythechnic, Regional Agricultural Research Station, Palem, Bijnapalle mandal under the Administrative control of Professor Jaya Shankar Telanagana State Agricultural University, Hyderabad under the plan scheme of the council. The jurisdiction of this Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Palem was extended to 34 mandals of mahboobnagar district namely Amangal, Balanagar, Bhoothpur, Farooknagar, Hanwada, Jadcherla, Kalwakurthy, Kashampet, Koilkonda, Kondurg, Kothur, Madgul, Mahbubnagar, Midjil, Nawabpet, Talakondapalle, Vangoor, Veldanda, Achampet, Amrabad, Balmoor, Bijnapalle, Gopalpet, Kodair, Kollapur, Lingal, Nagarkurnool, Pangal, Peddakothapalle, Tadur, Telkapalle, Thimmajipet, Uppununthala and Veepangandla.
Keeping in view of geographical situations, cropping pattern, problems and thrust areas of the farming community, KVK is working on following objectives:
1) To improve productivity in Agriculture and Allied enterprises.
2) To generate employment for Rural Youth in Agro, Agro based and Non-farm sector.
