Preview- Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Arwal has been recently established in August 2008 at Lodipur farm in Kaler Block of Arwal district of Bihar vide F. No.6-2/2006-AE-I dated 29th July 2008. It is an innovative centre of Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), Pusa, New Delhi under the administrative control of Bihar Agricultural University, Sabour, Bhagalpur, Bihar. The centre is dedicated to organize vocational training in agriculture and allied fields for practicing farmers, farm women and rural youth with emerging advances in agricultural research for technology assessment and refinement and demonstration of recently released technology. The Arwal district is quite suitable cultivation of cereals, oil seeds, pulses and vegetables under rice-wheat production system. The productivity enhancement of the field and horticultural crops with the concept of integrated farming system module are the major arena of thrust for development of agriculture in the district.
