Preview- "The Krishi Vigyan Kendra Almora was established in Almora District under G.B.Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar, U.S. Nagar (Uttarakhand) in February, 2004. It is located in Village Matela (Kosi) Almora. The centre is nearly 10 km from Almora at Almora-Kosi road. This project is sponsored by Indian council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi for all round development of farming community in the district. The KVK is working under Zone IV, Kanpur.
The centre is functioning under the administrative control of well reputed G.B.Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar, The establishment of this university brought about a revolution in agricultural education, research and extension."
